LIMBIC: The Scent Was Never Mine
2025

Memory is not a record but a reconstruction, reshaping the past with each recollection.

Time drifts in folds, revealing itself in fragments that are vivid yet unstable.
Images promise evidence yet replay the desire; the more precise the record, the fuzzier the memory.

When vision reaches saturation, scent remains indefinable and seeps in, erasing distance in an instant.

This work transforms space into a sensory field composed of scent, image, and material traces. Time moves non-linearly, images and odors interfere with one another, examining the fragility of memory and the gentle deceit underlying recollection.

LIMBIC attempts to show how the senses fabricate a temporary yet vivid “sense of certainty”, while exploring the power imprints from family, society, and technology that lies at its core.

记忆并非记录, 而是重构;
